Test Plans Page

Test Plans page is created for the team to get general test information about the project quickly and easily. It consists of Overview charts, an Unresolved Plans list, a Resolved Plans list.

Overview

The charts present the test status for the past 30 days, which is useful for when the management team wants to know the progress and results of testing activities.

Unresolved Plans

These are Test Plans have not been started or not completed yet; ideally, the QA team will be working on these Test Plans.

Resolved Plans

These are Test Plans have been completed by QA team.

Resolving a Test Plan

Whether a Test Plan should be in Resolved/Unresolved list is decided by Jira native ‘Resolution’ states:

  • Resolved: ‘Resolution’ is set to any value (not blank).

  • Unresolved: ‘Resolution’ value is cleared (no value is set).

Usually ‘Resolution’ is working with Jira workflow, please refer to Jira documentation for details: Configure resolutions in a Jira workflow
